Obituary:
Juanita Alexander,

born on January 21, 1926
passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26th
at the age of 88 in The Woodlands, Texas.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Samuel Alexander; daughter Joanne Alexander of Pompano Beach, Florida; son George Alexander of Orlando, Florida; son Ralph Alexander and wife Shirley of The Woodlands, Texas; granddaughter Brooke Alexander Schmitt and husband Daniel Schmitt of The Woodlands, Texas; and Juanita's brother, Ralph Acosta, of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Juanita was born Juanita Perez in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to New York as a teenager with her mother, Julia Pagan and brother, Ralph.
She married Samuel Alexander in 1953 and they lived most of their life in
New York before retiring to Pompano Beach, Florida.

Juanita was an avid reader and enjoyed ballroom dancing.
She loved bingo, crossword puzzles and other games of chance.
She was a stunning woman; always dressed to the nines and adorned with her signature red lipstick, red polished nails and gorgeous dark hair.

Juanita was afflicted with Hepatitis, which likely contributed to heart disease and diabetes and, although managing these diseases for almost three decades, most people would have never known she was ill, as she was always optimistic, always smiling and never complained.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd, 2014 at 3:00pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384 (936) 273-4922. Please come and join the family and friends in celebrating the life of this amazing and beloved woman.

Juanita was a woman of color and beauty, so please feel free to wear color to her memorial.
